Groves & Co. reimagined Giorgio Armani’s retail concept for U.S. stores, creating a seamless, open environment defined by elegant materials, luminous lighting, and a layout that celebrates both modern sophistication and timeless craftsmanship.
With a history of successful collaborations, Groves & Co. was entrusted to bring Giorgio Armani’s retail vision to life across locations throughout the United States. The design emphasizes openness and flow, using frameless glass façades to create unobstructed views into a luminous interior.
Inside, carefully selected materials—including sandblasted stainless steel, lauropretto wood, and warm grey limestone—work together to form a space that reflects Armani’s signature blend of modern luxury and understated elegance.
The challenge was to translate Armani’s refined global aesthetic into a consistent yet site-specific retail identity for U.S. stores. This required maximizing open floor space while integrating functional service areas, maintaining clear sightlines, and creating an environment that felt both exclusive and inviting.

Groves & Co. strategically placed service functions at the rear of the store to create a generous, uninterrupted sales floor. Frameless glass panels were introduced to the façade, drawing customers inside while highlighting the store’s luxurious interiors. Custom-designed lighting, backlit stainless steel panels, and frosted glass accents work together to define zones without visual barriers. The resulting design is sophisticated, modern, and distinctly Armani, offering a retail experience that feels open, elevated, and timeless.
